Hello and welcome!
I have always enjoyed the natural beauty of driftwood.
Lake Champlain Driftwood comes from public source beaches where the the Green Mountains and Adirondacks cast their woodland beauty into the lake.
Through ice flows and thaws, the beaches become deep with piles of driftwood. Each Spring, the towns clean their beaches of winter debris into heaps that are buried or burned.
Sculpting provides me an opportunity to bring driftwood closer to us, preserving arrangements that perpetuate their natural beauty.
