In an age of AI-generated content and synthetic avatars, I’ve been surprised by how few tools exist to help real people actually share their stories—especially at live events.
At fundraisers, weddings, conferences, and even protests, people show up with passion, purpose, and smartphones in their pockets—but where are the tools that help us capture why we’re there?
That question led me to invent a patent-pending portable media booth studio system—and to launch a new kind of media company designed to unlock the storytelling power of anyone with a smartphone.
I’m thrilled to announce the formation of www.smilesstudio.net, in collaboration with Champlain College capstone students and Vermont’s BRIC (Black River Innovation Campus).
We’re building tools for mission-driven organizations, cause-based campaigns, weddings, conferences, sporting events—and yes, even those protests where the people need a voice.
Let’s put media power into the hands of the people who show up to make a difference—and have some fun doing it.
